Butter London Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

Bossy Boots, Disco Biscuit, Knacked, Slapper, Trout Pout

I think one of the worst aspects of reading beauty blogs is that you find out about all these products that you want to try, but can't afford. The Butter London Spring/Summer 2012 collection has been going around on the blogosphere. I feel like a starved child with food being dangled in front of me. Well, maybe not that bad, but I still want it!

I really like the cremes in this collection. They're all really beautiful, but I really like Bossy Boots, Slapper, and Trout Pout. That pink! Oh lord, I haven't seen a pink that pretty and I don't even like pinks, to be quite honest. I really really like teals as well and I don't think I have a teal that's quite as green as Slapper. I do have Barielle's Do Unto Others so I don't really neeeeeeeeed a teal. But I want it!

I don't know why I'm also drawn to Bossy Boots. They call it a "light opaque pistachio green. A beautiful take on neutral for this season" I really do like it. I'm not into nudes or really pastel-y colors, but I really like this one. I might have to get it.

Which ones do you like the most?

Thoughts: Decluttering

Photo is from here.
Hi everyone! I had my first day of winter quarter. I had come back with a ton of stuff from shopping and just general junk. Since Chinese New Years is coming up, I think I'm gonna try cleaning up my stuff. I'm going to be moving soon and it would suck to pack up all this stuff that I'm not even going to use. Plus, it's great to have less things (so I can buy more), since more things seem to overwhelm and stress me out.

  1. Clothing: I need to sort out what clothes I want to keep and clothes that I just don't wear. I have a ton of things that don't really fit, but I've been holding on to because I really like it or because I just don't want to let it go. I'll probably donate the clothing or give it to a consignment for some $$.
  2. Makeup: I don't really want to throw away makeup stuff because I'm kind of a pack rat. I think the goal of not buying makeup might be easier than throwing makeup away. I don't have a huge collection of makeup since I just started buying makeup a few years ago. I am definitely going to go through my mascaras though. I have a terrible habit of not really keeping track of when I used them. Plus I have a ton of mascaras waiting to be opened.
  3. Skincare: I have a ton of skincare stuff that I've bought over the years. A lot of it doesn't really do me any good so I should just toss them. But the Chinese in me doesn't want to waist anything and I always feel awkward throwing away things like I was throwing away money.
  4. Nail polish: I've become quite a nail polish addict over the last year. I think it's because I look at swatches and I think, OMG, I need that one! I think I'm going to try to limit my polish habits as well and probably throw or give away some of the ones that I don't really like.
  5. Knick knacks: I collect a TON of knick knacks. I find something cute and I decide that I must have it. I have like 4 packs of stationery despite the fact that I don't even send people letters or anything anymore. :( I have notebooks and folders that I don't really use. Maybe I should donate those to a school or something.
I'm hoping I can clear out some of this stuff so I can finally live without mess. It's overly optimistic to say that I will stick to all of these (hell, even half of these), but a girl's gotta start somewhere! Hopefully putting this on the blog will make me more accountable and so I will actually do it. Crossing my fingers.
